You may have seen or heard of the movie, Like Water For Chocolate, but have you read the book written by Laura Esquivel? Perhaps not as famous in movies circles, but important in the literary arena, Rudolfo Anaya is a trailblazer who not only writes literature aimed at adults, but saw the necessity and importance of literacy skills for hispanic children decades ago.
